What are TriviaWeb Lifelines?

Use lifelines if you are having trouble answering a question. The rules for using lifelines are:

  • A lifeline can only be used once.
  • Only one lifeline can be used per question.
  • Each lifeline costs points depending on how powerful it is.

The lifelines are:

Symbol Cost Action
20 points Removes two wrong answers leaving you with one wrong answer and one correct answer. This makes answering correctly much easier.
10 points Removes one wrong answer leaving you with the correct answer and two wrong answers. This makes answering correctly easier.
10 points Stops the points available for this question from running down. You can score more points if you need more time to come up with the correct answer. This does not stop the quiz timer.
10 points Doubles the points you receive for this question. This is useful if you get a question with a lot of points and you are sure you know the correct answer.
20 points Gives you one extra life. Useful in case you are in danger of running out of lives therefor allowing you to play more questions. You cannot have more lives then you started out with.
5 points Skips the current question. This is useful when you are sure you don’t know the answer and don’t want to lose a life.
What is the TriviaWeb Scoreboard?

After completing a quiz and earning points, you can add your name to the global TriviaWeb scoreboard and show the world how good you are.

You can use your real name or, even better, a trivia player name like ‘Trivia Player One’. The name must be at least 3 characters long and start with a letter. You can use spaces but some special character are not allowed.

Every time you add your name to the scoreboard your points will be added to the points you already have. This lets you move up the rankings.

For every day you do not play, one point will be deducted to keep the the scoreboard "clean".
